Where do you offer driving lessons?
Why should I keep a log of my driving hours?
During the "L" stage of driving, ICBC requires a driver to have completed 60 hours of driver training (with or without a professional instructor). This is an important benchmark and the only way you know you have reached this requirement is to have kept a log of your hours during the year. (You will not be asked to show this log to the examiner)
How often do you offer lessons?
In our hometown of Campbell River, we offer lessons regularly throughout the month.
Is there any way to track my progress after each lesson?
Yes, there is! With our automated system you and your Parents/Guardian are able to see any instructor notes from the previous lesson as well as a complete written evaluation filled out and able to view after each lesson. This is a great tool to track your progress and review any notes left by the previous instructor in regard to specific practice between lessons.
What if I have to cancel lesson? Can I do it in the student portal online?
Yes! In our online scheduling you are able to cancel any of your upcoming lessons if something comes up in your schedule and you're not able to make the driving appointment.
Can I sit in the back seat while my son or daughter is taking a lesson?
Absolutely. We allow one adult to come for a ride-along if they wish but must understand they are a spectator and not a second instructor. Parents often end up learning a thing or two in the process.
What kind of car do you teach it?
We have a 2016 Toyota Rav 4, it is an automatic transmission with all of the latest safety features. Our vehicle is equipped with a passenger brake for the instructor. The vehicle is easy to drive and offers great visibility.
How will we know if our son or daughter is ready for their road test?
Many factors go into this decision. We will always offer honest advice on a student's readiness towards the test. As a parent, you must ask yourself the important question… is my son or daughter ready to make safe decisions as a driver without me in the vehicle? Usually it's a simple matter of consistent practice with qualified supervision.
Can my pickup location for the lesson be different than my drop off location?
Absolutely, with our online scheduling you are able to fill out your pickup and drop off location and they do not need to be the same location they just need to be in the same city. You can update your pickup and drop off location right up until the day of your appointment. It is always advisable to let your instructor know where they will be dropped off at the beginning of the lesson.
What happens if I buy a lesson package and would like to add on one more lessons?
YES, in your student portal you have the ability to add an extra lesson at anytime, simply select one or two more additional lessons and they will be applied to your account.
